Google Search has introduced an AI-powered feature that autonomously contacts local businesses to check prices and availability, eliminating the need for users to make calls themselves. The tool, leveraging Google's Duplex technology, employs natural language processing to converse with businesses and delivers summarized results.
A second feature, Deep Search, utilizes the Gemini 2.5 Pro model to provide detailed responses to complex queries. Both functionalities are part of Google's AI Mode, currently available in the U.S. through Google Labs, with expanded access for AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers.
